With a strong focus on growing the city’s corporate culture, the leading advocacy group offers access to exclusive networking events and opportunities for mentorship and business development.
YP Gold Coast is not just about rubbing shoulders at networking events, we regularly advocate for issues affecting local young professionals under three key pillars. Ambitious, Connected and Health. We believe these are the building blocks of our city and that young professionals deserve to have a voice when it comes to decisions that affect their future here!

Our History
For over a decade, YP Gold Coast has been recognised as the voice for the city’s emerging leaders.
YP Gold Coast is Born
YP Gold Coast was established by a driven cohort of Young Professionals who recognized a deficiency in our local corporate landscape.
First YP Event
The inaugural YP Gold Coast event took place at Broadbeach on the Park, featuring a guest appearance by the President of the Gold Coast Football Club, Travis Old, and drawing a crowd of around 50 attendees.
First Platinum Partner
We were delighted to welcome Griffith University as our very first Platinum Partner, a strong, mutually-beneficial partnership that lasted until 2021.
Cronin Miller Litigation join as a Gold Partner
Cronin Miller Litigation joined YP Gold Coast as a sponsor and, since the inception of this partnership, has emerged as the longest-standing sponsor of our organisation.
First Young Professional of the Year
It was our pleasure to participate in the Gold Coast Business News Young Entrepreneur of the Year awards, an event that showcased the outstanding young talent that this city has to offer.
Launch of the City Leaders Forum
Our inaugural City Leaders Forum, which has now become a flagship event, was launched to much acclaim, attracting the brightest professionals and generating media coverage through its thought-provoking discussions and insightful commentary.
Launch of the Entrepreneurs Forum
We kicked off our first-ever Entrepreneurs Forum, an event that honours success stories originating from the Gold Coast.
Great Ideas for the Gold Coast
YP Gold Coast forged a partnership with the premier town planning firm, Urbis, in 2017, to launch our first major advocacy project - the "Great Ideas for the Gold Coast" . The resulting report presented a compelling vision for the city, featuring a set of initiatives aimed at consolidating its competitive edge.
YP Celebrates 10 Years
In the midst of the pandemic, we marked a significant milestone - our 10th anniversary. Despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, we remained committed to being the voice for Young Professionals on the Gold Coast.
Launch of YP Podcast Series
In response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we shifted gears away from in-person events and launched a captivating podcast series that featured prominent local speakers, including David Ridden and Dr. Chris Davis, across eight thought-provoking episodes.
Great Ideas Refresh
Building on the success of our initiatives from the 2017 report, we recognised the need to drive further progress and set out to spark discussions around the future of our city. We formulated a fresh set of ideas that we believe serve as a catalyst for growth and development, and drive us towards an even brighter future.
Bond University join as Platinum Partners
YP Gold Coast welcomed a new Platinum Partner with the addition of Bond University. Their support has been invaluable in helping us to deliver impactful events and initiatives since 2021.
YP Launches Annual Charity Partnership
As our influence and brand continued to grow, we recognised the potential to better leverage our audience and drive even greater impact by partnering annually with a single charity. To achieve this goal, we were delighted to welcome the Gold Coast Community Fund as our inaugural charity partner.
Morgan’s Gold Coast join as Platinum Partners
We were thrilled to welcome Morgan’s Gold Coast as a Platinum Partner, following many years of valued support as a Silver Partner. This elevated partnership has enabled us to continue delivering exceptional events and initiatives.
YP Breaches 300 attendees
YP Gold Coast achieved a significant milestone when we exceeded 324 attendees at a single event for the first time at the City Leader's Forum. This flagship event has become a key fixture in the professional calendar, attracting the brightest minds and thought leaders from across the region.
YP Rebrands
YP underwent a rebranding process, launching a new logo, website and overall brand identity. The decision to rebrand was driven by the desire to modernise and better reflect the evolving nature of the committee. The new brand represents the dynamic and forward-thinking nature of YP and our commitment to driving innovation and growth on the Gold Coast.
