Antonie Baradel is the VP of Domestic, Pacific and America’s at Queensland Airports, which includes the Gold Coast, Townsville, Mount Isa and Longreach Airports. With almost a decade of experience in commercial management roles for British Airways and Qatar Airways, Antonie is now playing a key role in Business Development at the Airport, with the goal of growing and retaining airline routes and capacity across the Airports network. With increasing air access, he is helping grow the region’s economy, support local business growth and enhance the city’s connections to Australia and the world.
Antonie is proud to call the Gold Coast his home after living abroad in multiple countries such as the U.K, Canada, NZ and Qatar most of his life. Ever since relocating here, he has become an avid beach volleyball player and makes sure to enjoy the outdoors as much as possible – when he’s not travelling!

Gabriela Damaceno is a journalist whose career evolved through e-commerce and digital strategy into a focus on how people find trustworthy information online. She now works as Content Advisor for Gold Coast Health, improving AI visibility so the community can more easily discover reliable health information on Google and through AI-powered platforms like ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini, having previously led global SEO strategy at Culture Kings.
Calling the Gold Coast home since moving from Brazil in 2017, she sparks discussions on entrepreneurship, digital skills, diversity, and the city’s future while also running The Silk Store, her brand dedicated to hair and skin wellness.
A former Gold Coast Mayor’s Student Ambassador, Gabriela is committed to shaping the city’s growth and professional scene. She values diversity for fresh ideas and actively fosters collaboration, creating opportunities for young professionals to connect and thrive.
Hannah Harrison is a lawyer at RedeMont, advising private and public sector clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.
Her experience encompasses project-managing transactional work, family office advisory, governance and restructuring, and overseeing the protection of intellectual property assets. She has acted for institutional investors on domestic and international investments and supported high-growth companies throughout their lifecycle; from structuring to scaling and exiting, crafting fit-for-purpose governance frameworks, and adopting a strategic approach to capital raising.
Hannah relocated to the Gold Coast from Sydney to undertake her tertiary education and has since chosen to build her career in the region as a locality defined by genuine relationships, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to fostering emerging talent. She is passionate about supporting the Gold Coast attract and retain ambitious young professionals by leveraging its lifestyle advantage alongside strong career pathways, meaningful mentorship, and high-value professional opportunities.
Helen Hewat is a Manager at Frazer Financial Group, a boutique audit and corporate advisory firm on the Gold Coast. Drawing on her Big Four background and experience across audit, corporate advisory and financial modelling, Helen works closely with business owners, executives, boards and investors to help them navigate important business decisions and opportunities.
Known for her relationship-focused approach, Helen is passionate about connecting people, fostering strong workplace cultures and supporting the development of emerging professionals. Originally from New Zealand, she chose the Gold Coast as her home for its unique combination of lifestyle and opportunity, offering everything from world-class beaches and outdoor living to a vibrant and growing business community. Outside of work, Helen is an avid netball player and active member of the local netball community.

Jessica Jin is a Relationship Executive at Commonwealth Bank, managing a diverse portfolio of commercial businesses with annual turnover ranging from $5 million to $150 million. With experience across commercial and institutional banking, Jessica works closely with business owners and executives, combining financial expertise with a relationship-focused approach to support their growth and long-term goals.
Jessica completed her MBA in Finance in Geneva, Switzerland, graduating as Valedictorian and receiving the Prince Fellowship Award. She also served as Student Board President, an experience that strengthened her passion for leadership, community building and creating opportunities for others.
Fluent in both English and Mandarin, Jessica values the ability to connect across cultures and brings an international perspective shaped by her experiences in Australia and Switzerland.
