Flynn McFarlane - President

Flynn is the co-founder and Managing Director of Stead Lane, a leading Gold Coast digital agency who help clients to reach new customers and grow revenue by providing innovative solutions and ensuring quality return on digital marketing investments. Flynn will continue to ensure YP Gold Coast maintains excellent relationships with its sponsors and external partners.

Melissa Coleman - Vice President

Melissa is the Vice President of YP Gold Coast and is also a Senior Associate at Rose Litigation Lawyers. In Melissa’s role, she regularly deals with property matters, corporate and partnership disputes, building and construction litigation. Melissa has also been involved in cases involving minor debt disputes through to multimillion-dollar Supreme Court litigation.

Melissa is a born and bred Gold Coaster considers herself lucky enough to have seen the rapid growth and transformation of our city. Melissa firmly believes that for too long, decisions have been dictated by those who do not truly understand what our city wants and needs. Melissa is eager to see our organisation facilitate the opinions of young Gold Coasters and to take those opinions to our city leaders to actually advocate for change.

Jessica Thomas - Secretary

Jessica Thomas is a Solicitor at OMB and practices in property and commercial law. Born and raised on the Gold Coast, Jessica has strong ties to the community. Her motivation is to maintain relationships and rapport with clients and like-minded professionals, through networking and the delivery of quality legal advice. Jessica is passionate about fostering the city’s young talent and believes the Gold Coast is on the verge of greatness, providing that we embrace change and transformation. So long as the Gold Coast people are united, she believes that we have the opportunity to assist in the development and growth of our city.

 

Todd Matheson - Sponsorship Manager

Todd Matheson is part of the McGrath Projects team for South East Queensland, specialising in Project Management, property acquisitions and amalgamation and site sales. He brings to McGrath, almost 10 years of valuable real estate insight, providing a wealth of knowledge to his clients and an ongoing passion for the Gold Coasts growth and property market.

Nicole Bennetts

Nicole is a qualified and registered urban planner passionate about our city. She is currently Senior Planning Advisor to the Director of Planning and Environment at City of Gold Coast.

Previously, Nicole was a founding director of a local planning consultancy firm, experienced in managing large development projects from inception through the approvals phase. Nicole was also previously Director of a small development company.

Nicole is the Queensland Vice President of Planning Institute of Australia. And a committee member of Regional Development Australia Gold Coast chapter.

MARTIN GARRED

Martin is a Senior Planning Consultant at Urbis, a market-leading firm providing professional services relating to the use, development, investment, design and governance of property, cities and communities.

He is passionate about influencing a culture of high-quality development that responds to the Gold Coast’s unique city lifestyle. Martin achieves this by driving innovation and outcome focused planning solutions into his projects daily.

James Gough - Media Relations

James is a Corporate Affairs Executive at Queensland Airports Limited, managing internal and external communication activities across the QAL Group, which includes Gold Coast Airport. James’ prior experience is in PR consultancy, where he created and managed national PR campaigns for private and publicly listed companies. James attended Bond University, graduating with a Bachelor of Jurisprudence with a major in Public Relations.

Edmond Krecsik - Events

Edmond Krecsik is the Leasing Associate for the Precision Group, which is a Sydney based property Investment Company. His role is to assist with the commercial leasing of the company’s Queensland based assets. Born in Budapest, Hungary, he moved to the Gold Coast late 2003 and completed his primary and secondary education. In 2015, he graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Law degree and currently studying a Master of Business Administration course.’

Sean Braybrook

Sean is the Strategy and Operations Manager at Study Gold Coast and is a highly experienced project management and marketing consultant. In his role as President and as YP Gold Coast continues to gain momentum, Sean will be a passionate and key driver in the placement of the association as a voice for its members and is determined to make a difference in the development of our City. Sean graduated from Griffith University with a Bachelor of Communication and holds a Masters of International Relations/Master of Laws from Bond University.

Carla Tooma

Carla is a full-time journalist, presenter and announcer for 102.9 Hot Tomato and myGC.com.au, joining the team towards the end of 2011. She holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from Bond University. Carla is also a well-regarded MC, singer and actor. As a born and bred Gold Coaster, Carla is driven by creating more job opportunities for locals and growing and strengthening the Coast’s cultural amenities and offerings.
