Shannon is the Chief Executive Officer for Study Gold Coast. She accepted the role in January 2014, following a 13 year career in the media industry. Study Gold Coast is a membership based not-for-profit organisation which seeks to raise the profile of the city’s education industry. Shannon will be working closely with education providers across the Gold Coast, including the city’s three universities, GCIT and a raft of regional training organisations. Shannon promotes the Gold Coast as a destination for study and research, both domestically and internationally and encourages collaboration to help the industry expand. Shannon was the chief reporter at the Gold Coast Bulletin covering issues from politics to social issues.
